I am in my 16th year at Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick. Coming here meant going to the major leagues from the minors from the moment Frank Goodwin called and asked me to join his sales team. My time at Goodwin's has meant meeting a huge variety of new and awesome people-both customers and employees. I pride myself on finding out what the customers problem or need may be and help them move forward. Coming to Goodwins has been very rewarding not only for myself personally, but for the hundreds of customers that I have had the pleasure in helping out over the years!

Favorite Brunswick Restaurants: Byrne's Irish Pub with their Leprechaun Balls and pretzels are incredible. While the Tomato Primavera with olives from Scarlett Begonias, every Friday, simply makes my week complete!!!!!

My favorite pet Bergamot, my daughter's puppy!!! Bergie is half border collie/half black lab. She is a rescue puppy that was found, with her litter, in a cardboard box on the side of a Georgia road 1 1/2 ago. I am amazed that her life's journey has brought her to us. And am so very thankful! I have never experience so much love in a little package!!!!

The best place to observe a sunset in Maine: The deck at our family boathouse. The boathouse is located by our home in Days Ferry, Woolwich on the east side of the Kennebec. The setting sun observed up-river through the "chops" by Thorne Head is incredible and is different with every sunset, determined by the various cloud formations.

I am a proud father of 3 (Connor, Cassidy, and Callum) and US Navy Veteran.  I served 5 years onboard USS Donald Cook DDG 75 a Bath-built ship, where I got to see just about everything Europe had to offer From Portugal to Greece and Malta to Norway.

My post-military career has brought me full circle from working at INTEL in Utah to coming back home to Maine to Goodwin Motor Group and the Chevrolet brand. I started my career in the automotive industry with Yankee Ford and Darling's Ford of Brunswick before coming over to Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick.

If I am not at Goodwin's in Brunswick or with my family you might find me enjoying the most amazing cup of coffee around at Bohemian coffee house in Brunswick with a double Breve.

I am going on my 3rd year in the car business. Before getting into the car business I went to Oceanside High School.

Proceeding high school I got a degree in Business Administration from Husson University in 2019. While attending Husson University I played 4 years of baseball. I was a starting pitcher from my freshman year to my senior year. I had the desire to stay in competitive sports after baseball and started playing men's league softball & golf during the summer months. Wintertime finds me skiing for fun.

 

My Favorite Pet Is:

Jax! My wife and I got engaged and decided to get our first pet. Jax is a pitbull that is full of love and energy. Very friendly and loves to lick! By far the best dog I have ever had.

Favorite Sports player:

Being a New Englander people might feel some sort of way about this, but my favorite sports player would have to be George Kittle. He plays for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. The reason I like him so much is that I feel like he and I are very similar people when it comes to personality. He takes his job very seriously and is very good at it, but definitely knows how to lighten the mood. He is just one big goofball is what it boils down to.

My fiancée and I have recently relocated to Brunswick, the same town I grew up in and graduated high school. I'm a proud father of two daughters, and we have lived in Poland, Maine since about 2013. I've been in the car business in various roles since 1999. I love playing guitar and making music and I have an incredible amount of fun effects pedals. Ask me about looping!

What was the year, make, and model of your first car? 1985 ½ Ford Escort. Red in color. 

What is your favorite meal to get in the greater Topsham - Brunswick area? I love the meatball and parm sub with extra mayo from Firehouse subs.

The best place to see a sunset in Maine? Cadillac Mountain.

Favorite local band? I have been a fan of Strangefolk since 1994. I have a cousin in the band too.

After 13 years as a GM Master Tech, Garrett decided to move up to Management and use his skills and know-how to help the service department run more efficiently, thus better serving his customers. An upstate New York transplant, Garrett moved to Maine to be closer to the ocean. On his days off you'll find him swimming in the lake near his house with his dog and niece's, or exploring the plethora of hiking available in this great state!

The best place to see a sunrise in Maine is: right in front of the Robinhood Marina in Georgetown! Gorgeous sunrise with all the boats in the background.

Favorite car to drive: Pontiac Trans Am, it's been my favorite car since the Knightrider series! The T-tops is something that manufacturers today are surely missing out on producing!

I am the first person you will see when walking into our service department, I'm a very Happy go, lucky guy if your vehicle needs service... I'm your man!! I was born in Portland, Maine and attended high school at Bonny Eagle in Standish. I graduated from Lakes Region Community College in 2009 with my associates in applied automotive science. And continued as a technician until 2012. I took a bit of a break from the automotive field but returned to the industry by joining the Goodwin Chevrolet Mazda team in 2017 as a service advisor. I enjoy being outdoors! Mountain biking, fishing, and recreational motorsports are what make me tick! I am married with one child and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends most of all.

My favorite meal: you can't get in the Brunswick bath area, its got to be some home-cooked BBQ, burgers or steak tips on the grill served with a cold beer and some pasta salad!

Favorite sports player: it has to be Emmitt Smith #22 Dallas Cowboys !!

Early Bird gets the worm, or night owl? I'm a night owl through and through, not sure why just never liked going to bed early.

Alexis Getchell was born and raised in Brewer Maine. She graduated from Brewer High School in 2017. She moved to the Midcoast for a fresh start right after she graduated. Now living with her fiancée Taylor, her cat Mya, Siberian Husky Tundra and German Shepherd Kona." I always knew I wanted to work at an auto dealership ever since I could remember. Especially since my father has worked at Downeast Toyota for all my life. That's probably what got me hooked on cars. And inspired me to work in this type of business." When she isn't at work, she likes to spend her time with her fur babies, her fiance, friends, and family, and to just create memories!

The best place to see a sunset in Maine is: The best place to see a sunset would definitely have to be on top of Cadillac Mountain because you have the whole view of the water, the sky, the landscape, the mountains, it is so beautiful there. Even if you miss the sunset, it is definitely worth the drive to go during the day. But another beautiful spot in Maine to see the sunset is just about anywhere on the boat on the water! Because what's more relaxing than sitting on the boat out in the ocean watching the sunset?
