We made it our mission to go above and beyond for our customers and we've pledged to always be there when they need us. We consider our customers family, which is why our Silverado dealership in Brunswick, Maine actively seeks to give back to our local community whenever we can. We value the health and well-being of our local community, so our employees donate their time, money and resources to deserving non-profits throughout the state of Maine in the hopes of making a difference. From donating to Safe Kids Maine and Aspire Higher to partaking in two chambers of commerce, Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick can be found improving the lives of others. Just see what lives we touch every day below!

Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick is also a great place to work. By providing good jobs and wages for local folks we can have a great impact on the local economy and it's something we are really proud of.
GOODWIN CHEVROLET BRUNSWICK SUPPORTS THESE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS

United Way of Mid Coast Maine

United Way of Mid Coast Maine describes their mission as follows:
  • We bring people together to change the world around us & advance the common good by giving, advocating, and volunteering.
  • We support effective programs achieving the best results in the most important issues facing local people.
  • We lead initiatives to create long-lasting change in our community by identifying challenges and designing solutions.
  • United Way's mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the power of communities. When you invest in your community through United Way, you are trusting us to use your resources well. We believe in a high level of accountability because we want to earn and keep your trust.
Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick is wholeheartedly on board with this mission. What better way to create lasting bonds within the community than by problem solving with a long term vision for success and sustainability?

Safe Kids Maine

At Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick, we want to help end childhood injury. Accidental childhood injury is a leading killer of children age 14 and under, so we've decided to join Safe Kids Worldwide (SKWW) and Safe Kids Maine in the fight to end this tragedy. To help show our support for this mission, we sponsor and host a car seat safety inspection station in Brunswick on the first Saturday of every month. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available to inspect car seats and educate parents and caregivers on the proper and safe way to transport children. These technicians are on site from 12pm - 3pm to ensure parents are informed and every child is well protected from harm's way out on the road. Appointments are not required, but are strongly recommended.

Maine Basketball Hall of Fame

It's no secret that basketball has been an integral part of Maine for the past century. When we heard that the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame would be founded in 2013, we had to get involved. That's why we actively donate to the Hall of Fame to help preserve the history of Maine basketball and recognize those who made significant contributions and accomplishments within the sport to carry on its heritage.

Curtis Memorial Library

We also value the importance of the Curtis Memorial Library to our town and surrounding communities. We believe that there is nothing better for the development of young people's minds than reading. That's why we're proud to sponsor numerous programs at the library throughout the course of the year. We're even the leading sponsor of the "Booked for a Night" program!

Maine Pines Racquet and Fitness

Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness is among the countries elite when it comes to Tennis Welcome Centers. They provide an aerobics studio, a yoga and spin room, cardiovascular equipment, a weight room and much more. They believe in the value of physical activity and the joy that can come from a sport that is played either solo or within a team dynamic. What better way to build up the citizens of an area than by providing a place to build community while exercising?! This year we donated to support their annual USTA National Men's 35 Indoor Championships, a great event for Brunswick!

Habitat 7 Rivers

Habitat for Humanity-7 Rivers Maine creates successful home ownership opportunities for families with limited incomes by building sustainable housing, and repairing, weatherizing and modifying existing homes. In the year 2018 alone 7 Rivers was able to keep 30 senior citizens in their homes by updating and weatherizing their property as well as supplied 3 new homes for families. Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick believes in supporting the local economy by keeping our young families in the state, and by providing funding for supplies and volunteers we can contribute to that effort directly!

Bath Area Family YMCA

Originally established in 1856, the Bath Area Family YMCA is one of the oldest YMCA's in the nation. With 160 years of service to the Bath community they are one of the most important community development partners around, here or anywhere else. With that in mind, and with 86 years of serving the communities of Midcoast Maine ourselves, it was a no brainer to support the efforts of such an amazing provider of services to the youth of these areas. The YMCA offers a multitude of services for children and adults alike. With programs such as aquatics skills for children to offering financial aid and scholarships to college hopefuls, we hope this very important staple of the community continues to thrive for another 160 years and more.

Mid Coast Youth Theater

Mid Coast Youth Theater is meant to help children and teens develop social and emotional maturity, self-esteem, leadership and cooperative work skills. Any child who auditions gets a role in some capacity in one of dozens of yearly theatrical productions, regardless of experience. In 2018 Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick donated to support the stage production of Mary Poppins. Check out their ticket and 2018 season schedule information!
